Spine and spleen
1/5

I have always used a wide-ranging variety of materials in my work. Over time this has enabled my practice to continuously evolve. My relationship with materials has developed from working with their connotations on a conceptual level. Currently I am more concerned with utilizing a specific material for its physical qualities.
I have used materials like latex, chocolate and fur because of their richness in associations. My intention is to play with these associations to confuse the viewer, hopefully producing a ‘tongue in cheek’ effect, as they sway between feeling pleasure and disgust.
